A LITTLE GUIDANCE

The wood.
The shape.
The feeling.

A wooden pendant is part of the room even when the light is off. Start with the space, then find the form that belongs there.

CHOOSE THE ATMOSPHERE

Two woods. Different warmth.

Oak / light & open

Golden tones and a visible grain give oak an easy warmth. Pair it with pale walls, timber furniture or a space that needs a softer natural accent.

Walnut / depth & contrast

A deeper brown and flowing grain give walnut a richer presence. Its sculptural outline stands out against light walls and complements darker timber.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Let the room
lead the way.

  1. Start with what sits beneath it.

Measure the table, island or open space. Picture the width of the shade in relation to it, rather than choosing from an isolated product image.

  2. Consider the whole silhouette.

The Essentials pendants offer compact rounded, tall and shallow forms. Atelier expands the scale with broad canopies, oval and linear lights, concentric rings, layered tiers and pendant clusters. Consider the whole suspended arrangement, allowing space for both the light body and its suspension.

  3. Check the drop and the view.

Measure the ceiling height and the intended hanging position. Leave appropriate clearance for people, doors and sightlines. Ask an electrician to confirm the support and installation requirements.

  4. Plan the light as well as the shade.

An open wooden shade may reveal the light source or cast patterned shadows. Designs with opal diffusers screen the source. Brightness, glare and dimming depend on the light source, diffuser and fittings. Read the product information and ask us about any feature that matters to your installation.

LIVE WITH IT WELL

Care for the wood.
Follow the details.

Gentle cleaning

Switch off power and let the light cool. Dust the wooden shade with a dry, soft cloth or brush. Avoid soaking, solvents and cleaning sprays around the electrical fittings.

A suitable setting

Choose a dry indoor position unless the finished product explicitly states another rating. Keep wood away from moisture, naked flames and excessive heat. Follow the supplied installation and care instructions.

Details before installation

Before installation, check the socket, maximum wattage, voltage, canopy, suspension and dimming information for your light. Follow the installation instructions supplied with the product and consult a qualified electrician where needed.

BRING THE ROOM TOGETHER

A shared grain, at every level.

Pair oak shades with the Tambour sideboard or Column plinth, or continue the deeper walnut tone with the Reed console. Let the pieces share a material without crowding the space. Lighting and furniture are separate pieces, each with its own installation or assembly requirements.
